Pam Dawber (b. 1951) is an American actress best known for playing the "Mindy" half of Mork & Mindy, the hit 1970s ABC sitcom. She mostly played straightwoman to the "Mork" half, played by Robin Williams in his first starring role.
A spinoff of Happy Days, Mork & Mindy told the story of a nice Colorado lady whose life was disrupted by the arrival of a Martian in a giant egg. It was enormously popular at first, finishing No. 3 in the 1978 ratings, behind only fellow ABC sitcoms Laverne & Shirley and Three's Company. But the audience faded and the show was canceled in 1982.
With this embedding, my trilogy of Late 1970s ABC Sitcom Cuties — Mork & Mindy's Pam Dawber, Laverne & Shirley's Cindy Williams, and Three's Company's Suzanne Somers (R.I.P.) — is now complete.
She was the "Sam" in the title of her next show, My Sister Sam (1986-88). Alas, it was canceled after two seasons, crushed by The Facts of Life juggernaut in the same time slot. She mostly retired from full-time acting after that, though she has one other short-lived sitcom named Life...and Stuff. (It is unclear whether she was the "life" or the "stuff"; the show was canceled after three episodes.) She's had an unusually happy Hollywood relationship, being married to fellow actor Mark Harmon since 1987.

Your ratings, especially of the five-star variety, are very much appreciated.
