The pure murderous intent dwelling in steel—a gruesome and primal magic that unleashes it. 
As if resonating with the caster's hatred or desperation, the sharpened blades come alive, swirling and seeking victims like famished beasts.
Steel was, after all, forged for this very purpose: to pierce and tear flesh and bone.
