Works good. Although you dont need 3,000 images. Can get away with 10-30 honestly, if you feel the backgrounds are too similar and it's baking that in, you can rembg to black, tag black background, call it a day.
Illustrious is pretty forgiving, and these concepts you are training in most cases are not very foreign to Illustrious so it should land without a huge struggle.
