代表的古典作品（フィクション）の昔のまんが版作品。
少年期に色事に目覚め、20歳前に父親に勘当され、全国を巡って（性的に）遊びまわり、
中年で資産家父親の遺産を相続。さらに放蕩生活を継続。

Original by Saikaku Ihara – Manga Adaptation of The Life of an Amorous Man – Character Pack
A manga-style adaptation of a representative Japanese classical fictional work.
The story follows a man who awakens to lustful desires in his childhood, is disowned by his father before turning 20, and then roams all over Japan indulging in sexual escapades.
In middle age, he inherits a fortune from his wealthy father and continues his libertine lifestyle. Eventually, as an older man, he boards a boat to search for the legendary “Island of Women” and disappears without a trace.
Set in the early Edo period, around the 1680s — the dawn of the Genroku and merchant-class cultures.
Seen from today’s perspective, even Japanese readers might find the content full of outrageous moments. But back in its original release, the book was apparently a hit. Later, the Edo shogunate’s moral reforms and restrictions on sexuality led to more severe censorship.
