This self-propelled gun mounted a powerful 15cm infantry gun on the chassis of a Panzer 1 without removing the wheels.

After the war with Poland, construction was hastily carried out in preparation for the upcoming war with France, and it was a very hastily constructed self-propelled gun, consisting of the chassis of a Panzer 1, which was outdated at the time, with the wheels on and covered all around with thin armor plates. However, its usefulness was highly praised, and production of self-propelled guns equipped with the sIG33 gun continued thereafter.

ポーランド戦後、来たるべきフランス戦に備えて急遽が進められ、当時旧式化していた1号戦車の車体に車輪ごと乗せて周囲を薄い装甲板で覆っただけ、といういかにも急ごしらえな自走砲でしたが、その有用性は高く評価され、以後sIG33砲を搭載する自走砲の生産が続くこととなります。

その異様なシルエット（全幅より車高のほうが高い）、車内に砲弾を3発しか収納できない、防護板を外したら車輪の付いたままの大砲がドンと鎮座している、とツッコミどころ満載の車輌です。大好きです。
