You stumble upon a hidden treasure in the attic: a pile of old visual novels from a bygone era.

They are from the 50’s and 60’s, imbued with the scent of time, smoke and dust.

You feel a surge of curiosity and open one of them.

The faded colors reveal intricate drawings that captivate your eyes.

Each line is a brushstroke of magic, weaving a story that transcends the pages.

    What story will you discover?

    Presenting: “Inkdrawing Directors Cut”

A nostalgic adventure in the realm of ink and paper,

where every drawing has a soul and every novel is a universe.

Trained on unedited scans of "Inkdrawing V1" with a little magic here and there.

You hold the power to create stunning images of nostalgia.

    Prompting:

Just use the Keyword “Inkdrawing” before your prompt.

You want more? Add the Keyword “by Kr355e” at the end of your prompt.

You want darker and more contrast scenes, no problem, just use “high contrast”.

E.g.: "Inkdrawing, a magical castle on a hill between forests, by Kr355e"

or just: "Inkdrawing, a magical castle on a hill between forests"

    Why is it so faint?

This LoRA is designed to look faded. With the charm of old an magazine/visual novel/comic.

You don’t like the paper texture?

Use a Surface blur in an image editing software and erase it.

    You want colors?

Then describe the colors in your prompt and they might show.

    Extra Info:

This LoRA is not meant to be used with a Refiner. It has been tested on several Models,

but I cannot guarantee that it will work on every checkpoint as intended

    Why directors cut?

Well, i made the V1 for the taste of a lager audience. The Directors Cut is more what i had in my mind.

I hope you enjoy creating with this LoRA and exploring the stories hidden in the ink and paper.

Really like that. I haven't been able to figure out how to make lora in sdxl. I don't get the results I want. What method did you follow when preparing this model? Would you like to give some tips?

Thanks, I am glad that you like my LoRa. I would like to give you some tips, but I am myself a bloody beginner in this. But here are a few things that I could figure out so far:

    1. Use the best quality images you can get your hands on. Not only sharp, they also should have no jpg artefacts or scaling artefacts.

    2. Aspect ratio doesn't really matter. Use bucketing. As long as you stay close to the SDXL training resolution you should be fine.

    3. Captions are gold. In my opinion they have more value then the Instance/class prompt. Use your Keywords in your captions (as you would like to prompt them) and describe the scene as best as you can.

As Instance/class I use just my keyword twice.

    4. Don't go to high on repeats, use epochs. This LoRa was trained on 87 images with 2 repeats and 10 epochs.

    5. Cosine seems to work very well

    6. One bad image could potentially kill your LoRa. Select wisely. It's better to have one image less in this case.

    7. The LoRa doesn't needs to be huge for simple styles. In my case Network Rank 16 / Network Alpha 8. For an unknown reason I use Half the network rank as network alpha in my Loras.

    8. Keep on trying and experimenting.

@aimingfail Wow, thank you very much. I didn't expect it would take so much effort. I will try again based on what you said. Thank you again for your efforts and explaining it in such detail.

I can smell this lora. Its beautiful - all those books from the school library and local library that I used to read, many of them from long before I was born.
    Really good work, thanks.
