My First SDXL Model! 🎉
Incorporating Faeia's fantastic FaeTastic, a huge mix of anime and cartoon focused models, and three or four LoRA I trained (using the Civitai on-site LoRA trainer!) and merged in block by block, I finally feel like I've accomplished my goal for my my first SDXL model - cartoony, semi-realistic outputs, with an SD 1.5 feel, but with the flexibility of SDXL prompting.
Like my other models, I tried my best to fix hands using some of the common block-merge hand-repair techniques, editing the IN00, IN01, IN02 blocks, and they've turned out not bad, have seen worse, still not great. Sometimes you've just gotta roll the dice (a hundred times)!
What's it good at?
It excels at anime and semi-realistic portraits. It does quite good nsfw (softcore), with good... lady parts (special attention was paid!), but it doesn't really do photorealistic - that's been merged out.
Check my prompts for some examples of what it's best at!

So happy to see this!
The feel of 1.5 isn't a very good thing imo. 1.5 tends to be flatter, less expressive, has an artificial recognizable look. But the model overall looks interesting.
Could you elaborate on what you mean by an "SD 1.5" feel? IMO most of the "feel" from SD 1.5 comes from the vast quantity of LoRAs created for that model.
Sure! My 1.5 merges, like this one - https://civitai.com/models/10752/the-allys-mix-iii-revolutions - always really loved the style, so I was keen on creating something with similar visuals, but which had the flexibility of SDXL when it comes to prompting for absolutely unhinged topics/subjects.
@theally Nice! I'm uploading a bunch of images I created using your checkpoint right now, I hope you like :)
Hi Ally :) I'm having a bit of difficulty consistently getting a less "artsy" and more "realistic" look with your checkpoint. Any suggestions on tags I could us to better steer in that direction? I'm already using a bunch of old ones, like "octane render", "8k", and "masterpiece", although I don't know if any of those actually work in SDXL.
Hey! I don't think it's possible to get this model into true realism territory - I "bred out" the realism and focused on comic-esque, cartoony feel. If you want less artsy, this isn't the model for you, I'm afraid! 😅
@theally Yeah I started to sense that lol. I'm using adetailer on the body and face, and it seems to "pull" the character a bit out of the style of the background, which I think if I can remember (I'm so sleep deprived...) is why I asked. Anyways, really enjoying your checkpoint :)
Does this model require the use of Refiner?
Hey, no refiner! 👍
Is there any SDXL inpainting version for A1111
