An okapi is a large herbivorous mammal native to the rainforests of Central and Northeast Africa, primarily the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also known as the "forest giraffe" due to its resemblance to giraffes, although they are not closely related. Okapis are known for their striking appearance, with reddish-brown fur on their bodies and distinctive black and white striped legs, similar to zebras.
