Brilliant! I'm loving it :-)
This is your own idea, right?
cuz i've never heard of an animated disney version of Captain Jack. (i should just google it, yeah yeah). But it fits so well with your usual style! and its a very well done character, good job.
Thank you so much! And yes, this idea was one of my own! I've always wanted to bring the characters from PotC to life in the classic Disney animation style.
And since no suitable Pony models exist I bit the bullet and made my own! It's been a learning journey, but I'm surprised how much fun I had making this. It's far from perfect, but I'm happy with the end result!
Next up will be Elizabeth, Will, and maybe even Davey Jones 🏴☠️
@ZairaSass I'm looking forward -- to all of them, (but I'm a bit intimidated of the prospect of a Davey Jones Lora... all those tentacles will probably be tough to get right. But then again, what do I know, I've never made a Lora. I want to, but sounds like learning how will be a big timesink).
Looking again at your comment, I have two things to add:
1, you mention "its been a learning journey", does that mean you're also new to Lora creation? If so, yay! Do you have any good recs for a beginner's guide? (I'm really busy at work this month, so I'd love a dense summary.)
2, If you're also new, major congrats on your first Lora turning out so good! you say "its far from perfect", but I'll emphasize that I love my results so far.
Thanks again. I think I once commnented on your images already, but I really enjoy your style. And you have real creative flair!
@ravemry9 Yes, this was my very first LoRa! I was in the same boat as you that making LoRas seemed so intimidating. But after following this guide it made the process bearable. I won't lie, creating LoRas does take some time, but if you follow the steps as detailed here you'll be well on your way to create something special! https://civitai.com/articles/11940/complete-beginners-guide-how-to-create-and-train-a-character-lora
@ZairaSass Thanks a bunch. That guide you linked me does look like pretty clear and helpful. (we'll see...)
why have you used the 'looks like a real person' marker. It looks nothing like Johnny Depp. If it's supposed to look like a real person who is that person?
Civitai flagged my Elizabeth Swann model so out of an abundance of caution I updated this model's settings to avoid getting flagged again. Each model was built using illustrations and video game images so I plan to reach out to Civitai to sort everything out.
@ZairaSass Yeah, it's a bit extreme to say it needs a flag. There's a model on here which does look exactly the guy that modelled for the video game, the creators of that haven't had any issues. I won't name it obviously. The actor isn't very well known, but still. I did protest the removal but, I thought, for the sake of my sanity, I'd just delete it myself. I hope you manage to sort it out. To be honest it didn't even occur to me that it would have a 'looks like a real person' flag on it.
