How come the images I produce are not vibrant in colors but look kind of dull and lacking? I did a png info check and used the same prompts, checkpoints, sampling steps, etc and my image always produce a inferior version
Are u using a Vae?
@Razuryam Mine says I am using "Automatic"... no idea what vae is nor the "Automatic" setting it already has
@narutofanz2013533 ah i see... Okay i really suck at explaining things, i would suggest u to google a full explanation of what VAE is. BUT Lets say that the VAE is like the Tint that gives color to your images, some Checkpoints have a backed VAE, that means it has one integrated and if u set things in automatic the VAE that has been baked will be used automatically. Some checkpoints dont have a Baked VAE and u need to use one by urself, as i said Theres a Couple of VAE out there and one of the most used ones is the KL-F8-Anime2. U can find them here in civitai too, and to use them u must place the File in your VAE folder.
Theres some more and VAE can bring different feeling to your image so try and see wich one u like :D

A VAE is similar to something like an image filter or automated photo editor. The way it works is that after the image is fully generated, Stable Diffusion runs the image through the VAE to modify it in a number of ways, such as recoloring it like Razuryam said. That's not where their use ends though, as they also change the image in a number of other ways. Usually this makes the image look clearer and less pixelated. It can also help with things like eyes and finer details, and can give you a much better base image to put through an upscaler.
I use two things
1:the vae I use this one, it gives very good results https://civitai.com/models/118561/anything-kl-f8-anime2-vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned-blessed-clearvae-fp16cleaned , select the one that says Kl-f8-anime2.
2: a color plugin that would be this: https://github.com/hako-mikan/sd-webui-cd-tuner , with this you can increase brightness, saturation, color, etc.
mixing both I get very good images.
