Aarti Mann, is an Indian-American actress known for her role as Priya Koothrappali in "The Big Bang Theory." She comes from a Gujarati Hindu family, and her parents were Indian immigrant doctors. Despite her family's medical background, Aarti pursued a degree in film writing and directing at New York University, later switching to acting. She began her acting career in the mid-2000s, with minor roles leading to significant opportunities in television and film. In addition to her role as Priya Koothrappali in "The Big Bang Theory," Aarti Mann appeared in the web/TV series "Quarterlife," played a guest role in "Heroes," and featured in the season two winter premiere of "Suits" on the USA Network. She also starred in her sister Kruti's film "The Memsahib" and gained recognition for her work in various commercials, including one for Volvo.
