曾伟权是80年代香港演艺界全盛时期的一位“金牌绿叶”，他在演艺界从业40年，从不刻意追求主演、多戏份，而是认真把自己的角色打磨好，即便戏份不多，依然令人印象深刻，他真实生活是属于那种，不好好演戏就要回家继承亿万家产的富二代。。。
1982年，曾伟权就参加了丽的电视举办的培训班招生，同年，丽的电视更名亚洲电视，简称“亚视”，算起来，曾伟权是亚视不折不扣的元老。在陆续出演《家春秋》《烽火情仇》《八仙过海》《云海玉弓缘》《白发魔女传》后，曾伟权的知名度在香港娱乐圈达到了巅峰，但，仍然是以出演配角为主，观众们对他的印象仍然是：“他不是那谁吗？还演过好多，就那个谁，演过卓一航还有那个谁”。

2020年，曾伟权因肺癌晚期去世，享年59岁，终身未娶，在去世前，将遗产捐赠给了古天乐慈善基金。
