I think this is a famous book for children in russia, it has some good lessons.
There is a 1982 version in stop motion and another of 1938, and some books have good illustrations.

The small cats are her nephens (they have a house too, not good as hers), she could be called Aunt Cat, but the credits for her are just "The Cat", her serf is Vasily (not tagged).
