Salma Hayek is a Mexican-American actress, director, and producer. Hayek is known for her roles in the 2002 film Frida and the 1995 film Desperado. She also executive produced the ABC comedy Ugly Betty from 2006–2010 and directed the 2003 family film The Maldonado Miracle. Hayek is known for her efforts in gender parity and diversity. In 2022, she was the first person to receive IMDB's Icon Star Meter Award.
