Click on the images to view them in HDR! Civitai will not show them correctly when downscaled, and even when in full resolution you need a HDR enabled browser such as Chrome or Edge for them to show in HDR.
This is a LORA for creating HDR images together with the Rec. 2100 PQ VAE. Please see the description of the VAE if you want to try to produce these kinds of images as there is currently not support for this in current image generators.
Note that while this LORA is made for IllustriusXL, the VAE works for any SDXL model and I can try to train the LORA for other checkpoints if there is interest.

This is great for those who like to tinker with their images post-output. If only SDXL would output to 16-bit PNG image files directly, this could be even more powerful!
The models works in floating point, so it would likely be able to output in 16-bit just fine. The issue is that both stablediffusion-web-ui and comfyUI afaik uses Python Pillow for saving and that doesn't support 16-bit RGB images. (They are actually working on that now: https://github.com/python-pillow/Pillow/issues/1888) Maybe cv2 could be used instead, I will have to try that at some point.
@spillerrec Oh wow great to hear there's something being done about it! Thanks for telling me this :) Would be a game changer, frankly.
