Momo is best girl 🍑
Ah finally, a fellow Momo fan, a man of culture and class! IL can make her without a Lora but only the Darkness version so if you want her earlier look/clothes check out my own Lora for her. Also I just noticed your Lora are trained on Clip Skip 1, is there a reason for that when most are clip skip 2?
@Lancelot69lol She is cute, mischievous, and also the fact that she is greedily recruiting girls for the Harem Keikaku makes her the ultimate ally.
I think for SD1.5 its normal to use Clip Skip 2 for training and its certainly true that most art is generated at clip skip 2 but for XL I'm pretty sure Clip Skip 1 is normal for training.
I never mess with clip skip settings (other than once for an experiment which didnt go well) I'm just using the default settings from either CivitAI or Kohya-ss which is set to 1.
I could be wrong but do you have examples of XL anime loras trained on Clip Skip 2?
@Lancelot69lol Also good observation I didn't think to test characters before the Darkness era. My Lora is definitely only trained on Darkness which is something I may fix eventually.
@CitronLegacy I don't know of a specific reason for Clip Skip 2 being used but rather than giving you an example just check any random Lora from Civati and odds are it will be Clip Skip 2, like 90% are.
After hearing this I'm genuinely wondering which if either is better now. I'm also not sure if they cause issues when mixing Lora trained on different Clips.
@CitronLegacy Well the Darkness look for most characters is honestly better but I simply adore the look and clothing of Momo and Nana before that. Their Deviluke princess dresses are super cute and Momo's hair style is cuter as well.
I love her darkness look as well of course but I don't like not having the option to gen her old look.
@Lancelot69lol Hmm I can't find evidence that Pony and Illustrious Loras are trained on Clip Skip 2. I just checked 3 PDXL from nochekaiser881, 3 from freckledvixon (Gothic Neon for example), and ExpressiveH and these are all Clip Skip 1. I also noticed other people (like Novowels' newest lora ) using Clip Skip "none" which I assume is 0.
In the XL world most people I follow are using Clip Skip 1. Which creator is using Skip 2 for XL? I'm sure there is something I could learn by seeing what they are doing.
@Lancelot69lol Yes options are important! Its definitely worth training a Lora for an outfit!
@CitronLegacy After checking the Lora I have I am surprised how many don't show which clip which I assume means the clip was 0? Didn't know you could use no clip. I have also noticed more Lora than I thought are clip 1 though most still seem to be 2. I suppose it all comes down to the ratio of which creators you download Lora from and which they prefer. This is kinda annoying, I hate not knowing which to go with or having to always check which one to use and then the potential for 2 Lora on different clips not working properly together etc. Glad I know now though.

TLDR: I'd be surprised if someone's Lora doesn't work on Clip Skip 2 because this is the default. Regardless of how a Lora is trained most should generate good results on Clip Skip 2.
Long version:
Oh are you looking at the details menu on the model page to determine the Clip Skip? That's not saying which clip it was trained on its telling you which clip to use for image generation.
When I look at the clip skip used for training I'm looking at the metadata of the Lora file itself with this tool https://citronlegacy.github.io/lora-metadata-viewer/

You are correct about the compatibility of Loras that have different suggested Clip Skips for image generation. If Lora ABC works well on Clip Skip 1 but Lora DEF works on Clip Skip 2 then you will be forced to chose which Clip Skip you use and one Lora will not preform as intended.
That said, all of my Loras work on Clip Skip 2 regardless of how I trained them. All of my XL Loras are trained on Clip Skip 1 but are intended to be used at Clip Skip 2. I make sure everything I made works on CivitAI's generator.
If someone is making Loras that don't work on CivitAI then that's supremely annoying LOL (Unless they are realistic which makes sense to have a weird Clip Skip).
@CitronLegacy Oh I see, thank you for the info and yeah I was checking the model menu page as you suspected. I'm very happy to know most Lora will work regrdless of the clip skip and that yours are meant to work with clip 2. You've set my mind at ease so thanks for that.
