sorry to ask, but you pointed out in ur description of the ur new illustrious V1 model that it’s different from the older V2 model by being “optimized for illustrious1.0.” Could you explain what that means for someone a lil more clueless? like would that mean that the older V2 just isn’t optimized for illustrious checkpoints in general, assuming all illustrious models on Civitai are “1.0,” or was it optimized for a different version of illustrious? would V2 work better than the new IL1 V1 on certain illustrious checkpoints and vice versa, or should the IL1 V1 just be considered the new updated model to preferably use in all cases? i guess im just confused on the difference between them since i don't have much context or background knowledge, thanks in advance if you could say what’s different, i want to understand more of how this stuff works
As of Friday of last week a new Illustrious, left early access (Illustrious 1.0). Pretty much any lora/checkpoint before that point is Illustrious 0.1.
They are 2 different versions of Illustrious they both work on Illustrious points. The 1.0 is supposed to be better and more trained than it's 0.1 counterpart.
If you are using a newer checkpoint it's probably using Illustrious 1.0 (which means you should use my IL1 V1), if you are using an older Illustrious it's probably using 0.1(so use my v2) hopefully that clarifies. I can see the confusion since the Illustrious creators used 0.1 and 1.0 rather than 1 and 2. Check the model description or ask the creator if your confused which Illustrious.
@rulles thanks so much huge help!!
