good question！sometimes,people dont want to get highres,they can use -1 weight in low res then upscale use 1 weight.

such as add noise before upscale....

it will add more possibilities.

I think the author is saying they used ESD to achieve this, not an instruction telling the end user to do so. Pretty sure it's just a translation error.
