Recommended settings: Euler A, 25 steps, 2.5 - 3 cfg. Even though this is trained on base Illustrious, id recommend Chadmix or NoobAi for actual generation. Theyre both illustirous models so it works fine with them.

is this prone to making only black men? (happens with other floox loras since that guy makes only black men)
Yes because all the men in the training images are black. I have seen people make non-black men with the lora though, even mare a few myself. It helps to put dark-skinned male and dark skin in the negatives and add weight as needed or turn the lora weight down a little, though youll lose a little style turning the weight down.
