With a skeleton that big, my mind immediately went to the Gashadokuro. A yokai from Japan, made up of all the collective bones and hatred of those who died en mass.

I read a bit of the wikipedia for Gashadokuro and this sounds exactly right. I'm updating the title of this Lora post. I'm sure I've seen something based on a Gashadokuro in anime before but I never knew what it was.
There is so many types of yokai. Youtuber Gaijin Goomba has a whole series about their influence in media called Yokai Hunters.
@Shajoe Oh I know of Gaijin Goomba! I havent seen any of his videos in awhile but I remember he makes good content.
I used to be a Monster Girl blogger (https://monster-girl-luv.tumblr.com/) so I learned about a bunch of Yokai but it was hard to keep track of them all: long neck, long tongue, umbrella, etc. At this point I'm assuming if it can be long/big there is a Yokai for it. XD
