NOTE2: Why LORA when I already upload LyCORIS?
This is pretty much a poll to see if some people use LORAs over LyCORIS.
Someone mentioned that not every GUI/WEBUI (especially online) has the LyCORIS functionality so they have to use LORA
Surprisingly some people cannot use LyCORIS because it uses more VRAM (personally I didn't know that it is a noticeable difference)
Also to show the difference in quality with extraction to LORA and to LyCORIS (both were extracted from the same Dreambooth)
NOTE3: Personally, I prefer the best quality so I use Dreambooths, but the LyCORISes are not that far off. LORAs are visibly worse, one needs to generate a bit more to get desired results, but if there are no other options - then that compromise is acceptable.

NOTE: all samples seem duplicated but in fact - this was also a test of dimension. Turns out there is no visible difference between 160 and 320 (which was the standard I was uploading before the introduction to LyCORIS)

The likeness is 10% worse than the lycoris
Thanks for this, I appreciate having more LoRa options since as I already mentioned DrawThings app currently does not support Lycoris. It is an amazing local tool, that needs no comnnection and can even run (slowly) on iphone. But it works excellent on desktop newer macs. The developer has done amazing things and made BIG changes very quickly but lycoris is currently not a priority which I understand. Thanks again!

Here is my personal opinion.
Lycoris can be great for close-up images (close portraits) and you can even notice all the little "skin-pores" on a face, which is fine for those people who which to see hyper-realism in a close-up picture/photo.
However, most of us who create photoshoot images of these famous faces (dressed and undressed) , AND many Art-works,
usually use these models for a full body or a half-body type of picture.
This means the faces are smaller in size on an image and you do not need to see all these little skin-pores close-up.
Another diference between LORA, Lycoris, and Textual-Inversions is the file size. Many people prefer to have a smaller file size instead a Huge file.
Specially if its a model of just ONE person.
Not many people have large quantities of Terabytes of available space on their home computers to store hundreds of face models , art-style models, clothing models, other types of models , and also many types of Checkpoints
to which to choose from.
It is a difficult decision to make as to what you really need to use, and to download , or what to collect from Civitai.
Personally, I collect them all and have no problems which I can store in over 40 terabytes on my harddrives. But not all people have this availability.
I also like to collect T.I. and Loras because of their file size, just so I can store more different models and have a bigger selection to choose from.
I also do game skins, DAZ-3d work, Photoshop artworks and advertising, music production and mixing, and game modding, so I do have to collect many many files to work with.
I thank you for your cool contributions and great posts and I wish you much success in whatever cool things you create. Just remember to have FUN while you make them. That is important !

LYCORIS is interesting, but Im still struggling with it to get it to do what I would like it to do. Im still new to them.
Depending on how they were trained, the ones Ive used seem to only want to output close up portraits of people. Its really hard to wrangle them and seem to lack the flexibility that LORAS seem to have.
Also, I use Civitai helper extension on Automatic1111 and the maintainer of the addon really doesnt want to support LYCORIS for some reason, so it makes it cumbersome to use.
