I rose from the dead so to begin with:
V9 - better at everything but a little less natural and more “AI-ish”, doesn't need negative embeddings and detailer every time
V8 - maybe inferior sometimes and trained too much so deviate from the “pony stuff” but believe me it makes a great base for teaching lora for specific characters etc
Tips:
Use ADetailer and/or HiResFix!
Recommended CFG ~5 (7 is ok but less realistic)
In ADetailer recommended denoising strength ~0.15 (0.1-0.2 is good)
In ADetailer to avoid some kind of cutoffs "Use separate VAE" and set it to standard sdxl vae
To avoid oversaturated images when using HighResFix change vae during process to standard sdxl (there is a separate button in Automatic1111 webui to create an upscaled version of the currently generated image)
For X and higher models recommended sampler is DPM++ 2S a

Damn! I've been sleeping on this model for some time now. I'm glad I finally woke up!
good realistic model, but as you push more and more in Img to Img you get some oversaturated results. the model is clever, and precise, and understand a lot of things thought, so the training seems to have save some good flexibility
To avoid "oversaturation" use standard sdxl vae

Neither ADetailer and/or HiResFix! is showing up in the "Upscaler" category. I've rebooted my pc and still not showing. What am i doing wrong?
Hmm, you don't normally have to do this, but you may need to manually add them under the UI settings in automatic1111. For txt2img they should already be added. You can add the upscaler module to the txt2img by the way. Makes it much easier to do HiResFix and upscaling all in one go!
I normally use 4x_Sourcetex-v2_136000_G (this is the best Upscaler for HiResFix IMO) or Lanczos at 0.15-0.35 (mostly 0.15) at 20-30 steps for the HiResFix pass
And then for the upscaler module I'll use:
Upscaler 1: 1x_NMKD-Jaywreck3-Lite_320k (or the Soft-Lite version)
Upscaler 2: 8x_NMKD-Sphax-DeDither_205000_G set at 0.8 visibility
Those options for almost all models work incredibly well for me. You do have to be careful with quality tags when using them since SOurcetex WILL sharpen the fuck out of your image if you use "ULTRA SHAPE 16K UHD MAKE IT RAZOR SHARP DADDY PLEASE CUT ME WITH YOUR SHARPNESS" in your prompt.
Otherwise it will just take the source image and remove the weirdness from it. 0.15-0.35 are usually good enough.

I think you need to manually add though if you're not seeing the extensions!
ADetailer is not showing up. I've downloaded and installed it and even rebooted my PC, but still now showing up. What is wrong? It gives me some kind of error in the Terminal It gives me this error
