Akira Diana White is one of the central characters in Ingoshima.

She is a mixed-heritage girl (Japanese–Western), recognizable by her blond hair and foreign features, which immediately set her apart from the other students.

At the beginning of the story, Akira appears confident, sharp-tongued, and somewhat aloof, often adopting a provocative or dominant attitude. However, once the class is stranded on Ingoshima Island and exposed to its brutal, archaic society, her personality cracks.

Throughout the manga, Akira becomes a tragic figure.
