<h1 id="prompt-pixaroma-unicode-cyrillic-tags-+-fast-large-library-patch">Prompt Pixaroma — Unicode / Cyrillic Tags + Fast Large Library Patch</h1><p><strong>Unofficial community patch for the Prompt feature in ComfyUI-Pixaroma.</strong></p><p>Not affiliated with or endorsed by Pixaroma.</p><p>This patch started with one simple problem: Prompt Pixaroma only accepted ASCII-style tag names, so Cyrillic/Russian tags were stripped or could not be expanded correctly. Once a large real-world tag library was imported, two more bottlenecks became obvious: category navigation and performance.</p><p>v1.5 turns Prompt Pixaroma into a much more practical tag system for large multilingual libraries.</p><h2 id="what-it-adds">What it adds</h2><h3 id="unicode-cyrillic-tag-support">Unicode / Cyrillic tag support</h3><p>- Russian/Cyrillic and general Unicode names for <code>@tags</code> and <code>#lists</code>.</p><p>- Unicode-aware parsing and autocomplete for <code>@</code>, <code>#</code>, and <code>*</code> tokens.</p><p>- Multi-word imported tag names are normalized into token-safe hyphenated names.</p><p>- Russian and multi-word categories can be used as wildcard categories through safe aliases.</p><h3 id="category-browser-in-autocomplete">Category browser in autocomplete</h3><p>Typing <code>@</code> or <code>#</code> can show categories as clickable entries. Open a category to browse only the tags/lists inside it, then return to all categories when needed.</p><p>This is especially useful when the library has hundreds or thousands of entries and you do not remember every tag name.</p><h3 id="faster-autocomplete-for-large-libraries">Faster autocomplete for large libraries</h3><p>- Empty <code>@</code> / <code>#</code> views show categories instead of rendering the entire library.</p><p>- Category counts are calculated in one pass.</p><p>- Global search still searches the full library, but renders at most 100 matches at once.</p><p>- Popup cleanup is deferred after hiding so closing feels immediate.</p><h3 id="faster-fullscreen-tag-library">Faster fullscreen Tag Library</h3><p>The stock editor creates an editable card for every tag when opening <strong>All tags</strong>. With a large library, that means thousands of inputs, textareas, buttons and event handlers at once.</p><p>This patch changes that behavior:</p><p>- 80 editable cards are created initially.</p><p>- <strong>Show more</strong> loads the next page.</p><p>- Search still covers the entire library.</p><p>- Category counts are calculated in one pass.</p><p>- Search rendering is debounced.</p><p>- Close-time duplicate/name validation is linear instead of effectively quadratic.</p><p>- The editor hides immediately when closing before cleanup/saving work continues.</p><h2 id="compatibility">Compatibility</h2><p><strong>User-tested:</strong> ComfyUI-Pixaroma <strong>1.4.171</strong></p><p><strong>Source-checked:</strong> ComfyUI-Pixaroma <strong>1.4.172</strong></p><p>The installer validates expected source fragments before writing. If an upstream update changes the relevant code, the installer is designed to abort instead of blindly modifying unknown source.</p><p>The patch is cumulative: you do <strong>not</strong> need any previous release.</p><h2 id="installation">Installation</h2><p>1. Close ComfyUI completely.</p><p>2. Extract the downloaded ZIP.</p><p>3. Run <code>APPLY_PATCH.bat</code>.</p><p>4. If auto-detection does not find Pixaroma, point the installer to your <code>ComfyUI-Pixaroma</code> folder.</p><p>5. Restart ComfyUI.</p><p>6. Hard-refresh the browser with <code>Ctrl+F5</code>.</p><p>A backup is created before files are modified.</p><h2 id="restore-uninstall">Restore / uninstall</h2><p>Run <code>RESTORE_PATCH.bat</code> and follow the prompts.</p><h2 id="important-note-about-pixaroma-updates">Important note about Pixaroma updates</h2><p>Updating ComfyUI-Pixaroma may overwrite patched files. Check the compatibility notes before re-applying the patch to a newer upstream version.</p><h2 id="license-and-credits">License and credits</h2><p>ComfyUI-Pixaroma is an upstream project by Pixaroma and is distributed under the MIT License.
