AI SLOT MACHINE: Coral Reef Edition | Creative Interactive Game (TOOL)

I’ve been making an AI Slot Machine Game for fun and I wanted to share it here ~
AI Art Slots: Coral Edition started as something for me and a friend. Thanks to help from GPT‑6.1 Sol (M) I spent a few days on it and am happy enough (for now) with the results. First time putting a game out there! If it looks interesting, feel free to give it a go! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

INSTALLATION:

To play: Extract the ZIP and open PLAY AI ART SLOTS - SOLO.html in your browser. The "Read Me" file covers the controls, rewards, settings and saving your progress.
MASCOT:

Melody is your friendly mascot and creative companion throughout the game. You can tap her at any time for an optional art tip or a little well deserved encouragement ~
The star icon beneath her portrait will take you to the Challenge section.
Optional: You can swap out the mascot (image) and use your own image to feel more at home!
HOW TO PLAY:

Press DIVE! (button) to spin five categories: Subject/Genre/Location/Object/Style ~
Lock the ideas (category) you want to keep, re-spin the ones you don't want and then use your final combination of ideas as inspiration for an image in your usual AI image generator.
You can also pick a story challenge, which gives your scene a little direction and an extra detail to work in. Bring your finished picture back to collect a badge and earn Corals, the in-game currency.
Keep this Pool lets you hold on to your current spin results rather than moving on to a fresh set. Handy when you like your combination and want to keep working with it!

Open Settings (⚙️) and switch Coral Rules -(OFF) to enjoy unlimited spins with no restrictions, quests, or unlock requirements!
SOLO MODE:

Play at your own pace, experiment with combinations and create without competing against anyone. You don't have to start a challenge. Feel free to simply spin for ideas and use the combinations as inspiration for a relaxed brainstorming session. No challenge required unless you feel like taking one on ~
TEAMWORK (CO-OP):

You or a party can use the same prompt(s) and create your own picture or take turns deciding which results to keep and which to spin again! Comparing how differently everyone interprets the same ideas is half the fun ~
Just a heads-up: The Solo version has one shared collection, so any pictures you create will be saved together!
AI JUDGE (CO-OP): (Ignore this feature for now)

The AI evaluates each player's creation based on the challenge prompt, creativity and how well it captures the chosen ideas. Highest-scoring creation wins!
Unless you’re comfortable digging into code (available in the ZIP) then don't bother. I haven’t been able to get it to reliably evaluate both pictures and it requires more than I'm able to provide at the moment. It sometimes misreads what’s in them or leaves the review unfinished. It once mistook a woman in pretty clothes for an astronaut so I’m withholding its judging privileges. 🫧 You can still enjoy the prompts, challenges and collectibles without it.

The game includes 14 interface languages to choose from!
English, Deutsch, العربية, Français, Español, Español · Latinoamérica, Português · Brasil, Italiano, Afrikaans, Filipino (Tagalog), 한국어, 日本語, 中文 · 普通话（简体） and 廣東話（繁體）。
You can switch languages at any time through the in-game settings.
Please note: Story text, category selections and generated image prompts currently remain in English.
DIFFICULTY:

Guppy – Simple, easygoing prompts with straightforward combinations. (Example: A cheerful mermaid exploring a coral reef)
Dolphin – More imaginative prompts with added detail and creative twists. (Example: A mermaid exploring an underwater garden filled with glowing flowers and curious sea creatures.
Whale – Complex, unexpected combinations that challenge your creativity. (Example: A mermaid tending to a forgotten underwater kingdom where bioluminescent creatures guard ancient treasures.

There are 18 sea-creature badges with their own personalities and stories.
The badges are pretty easy to obtain and in the future I want to fix that ~
REEF TREASURY:

Visit the Reef Treasury to browse the badges and check out the Reef Wardrobe to unlock a variety of colorful UI themes ~ Earn badges to unlock new themes and give your game a fresh new look!
You can find the Reef Treasury inside Your Art Challenge (Solo Dive) under the My Reef Treasures section (sitting beside your currency/corals). This is where you can browse your full collection of badges.

CURRENCY / CORALS:

Corals are your in-game currency used to purchase additional spins when you want to keep exploring new combinations. Your first 5 Solo dives are free, so you can experiment before spending any Corals. Once your free dives are used, you can spend your saved Corals to unlock more spins and keep the creativity flowing!
PROFILE:

Your mini profile can be found in the top-right corner of the site under "Your Badges"
You can select which badge you'd like to display as your avatar icon.
Tap the floating bubble icon (separate from your profile) for a quick look at your currently equipped badge and a little information about it, without having to open your full collection.
LITTLE FRY is a separate option for simple/PG choices located under Settings (⚙️).
SAVING & SHARING:

Save your favorite combinations and keep track of your discoveries! You can also share your collections with other players, letting them explore and enjoy your selections.
MUSIC & SOUND EFFECTS:

Enjoy the music, ambience, sound effects, and audio cues throughout the game! You can adjust the volume of each audio element individually in Settings (⚙️) with the exception of audio cues which cannot be adjusted separately.

ANIMATIONS & DETAILS:

Animations and visual touches within the game. Also, keep an eye out for animated UI elements, fun little interactions and special effects when you unlock badges.
MOBILE VERSION:

The mobile layout isn't fully optimized unfortunately, particularly the display. In the slot machine area you'll need to swipe right to view the remaining categories. (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)

I may not be able to update/debug the game for a while but if something’s super confusing or behaving strangely let me know and I'll try and help or fix it if I'm able~
I might return to the game with more updates down the road but it's taking a back seat for now because of limitations; along with Co-Op development. You can still enjoy the game with friends in the meantime! Feel free to explore, experiment, modify and code away! Have fun ~
