🌸 How to Install CVT — CivitAI Visual Toolkit

🟢 Chrome / Edge / Brave

1. Download the cvt-chrome-*.zip file and unzip it to a folder of your choice 📂

2. Open your browser and go to chrome://extensions

3. Enable Developer Mode (toggle in the top right corner)

4. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder

5. The ⚡ CVT toolbar should now appear at the top of every CivitAI page ✨

💡 Tip: Keep the unzipped folder somewhere safe — Chrome needs it to stay there!

🦊 Firefox

1. Download the cvt-firefox-*.zip file — don't unzip it (Firefox uses the zip directly) 📦

2. Open Firefox and go to about:debugging

3. Click "This Firefox" → "Load Temporary Add-on…"

4. Select the .zip file directly

5. Done! The toolbar will appear on CivitAI right away ✨

⚠️ Note: Firefox temporary add-ons are removed when you close the browser. For a permanent install, a signed version via Firefox Add-ons is coming soon!

🔧 First Steps after Install

• Visit civitai.com — the toolbar appears automatically at the top

• Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings popup

• Set up your default collections and preferences

• Use 👥 Users in the toolbar to start tracking your favorite creators!

There were a few issues with Watch processes running in the background in versions 2.0.0, 2.0.1, and 2.0.2, which caused the browser to refresh itself. This should be fixed in version 2.0.3.
