Inspired by the works of the English cartoonist, caricaturist, illustrator and children's writer, Sir Quentin Saxby Blake (born 16 December 1932, and he appears to be still active at the young age of 92! 🎈😎👍. ) Sir Blake is of course best known for his illustration for Roald Dahl's classic children's books such as James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Witches, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG, The Twits, George's Marvellous Medicine and Danny, the Champion of the World.
For his contribution to children's literature, he was the inaugural British Children's Laureate from 1999 to 2001.
