This self-propelled gun was equipped with a 150mm howitzer on the chassis of a Panzer IV tank and was designed to support infantry.

It participated in famous battles such as Kursk, the Battle of Caen following the Normandy landings, the Falaise Pocket, Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge.

クルスク、ノルマンディー上陸に続くカーン、ファレーズ・ポケット、マーケット・ガーデン、バルジの戦いなどの有名な戦いに参加しています。

虎、豹、サイ、象と、アニマル戦車勢揃いなドイツ戦車ですから、この「ブルムベア」もてっきり熊のことかと思っていたのですが、

どうも違うみたいで、「気難し屋」「不平不満を言う人」という意味みたいで、しかも連合軍サイドが勝手に命名したものだとか。

あー、イギリス人はヘンな名前つけるの好きですもんね。
